German national team

I bought fm17 this morning, (new laptop means I can start playing again) do I need to change/delete any files again so that the German national team plays real players?

Yes - the same ones as before, every time you reinstall or there is a an update

Thanks! I remember doing a lower league to prem save, and only realising after 6 seasons that I hadn't deleted it. I'm not making that mistake again.

Sorry just a question not Thread related - Where did you FM17. im still playing FM16 have a great save going that i just cant give up but was going to buy FM17 if it was cheap to buy.

Presumably FM18 is going to be released in a few months - if it was me with a good save I was still playing, think I'd hold out and wait.

...on the other hand, Sainsbury's had it reduced last time I was in there...lol

I have the problem of the German national team using non-real players. I started my save game with the fake files deleted and thus the normal German players were being selected for the national team. I continued to deleted the fake files through the various game updates (17.2, 17.3 etc). But I must have missed it one time and now the German national team is made up of only non-real players and newgens.

I was under the assumption that because I deleted the fake files before I started this save game, I thought that the real German players would be selected upon the next national team call up. Is that not the case?
