German team turned into virtual players

I am in my 6th season and manager of England as well as a few others, and the German National team used to have the real players, now they have randomly become the virtual 'greyed out' players for some reason. Has this happened to anyone else. I have changed laptop and transferred the file by memory stick, but surely this wouldnt have messed the game up, would it?
