Erm, really any need in a thread? I think we all know that Messi is better then Cole...
 
not even a story . not a dig at you, but at the media, who chose this, from the half hour conference he gave.
 
Yeah we know Joe isn't in the same league as Messi but I don't see how we can have a discussion or a debate on this?
 
He doesn't say that he is better, he does say he is better at tricks, skills etc. Which is entirely probable, we all know Cole is one of the most skillful players out.
 
he was just bigging up cole thats all it was fairly off the cuff.

It was taken out of context. He said Cole does impressive SKILLS with a football, probably better than Messi. Could be true, for all we know.

Basically sums it up, although he probably doesn't have better skills than Messi, both good players non the less.
