What's the best way to utilize these guys together with VDV playing CAM? Who should get benched/traded?

I was thinking of a 4-4-2, where Torres plays complete/advanced forward and the rest of the positions are another striker, AML and AMR

Maybe Walcott the poacher, Gervinho at AMR, and Robinho at AML?

Robinho at poacher, Walcott AMR, and Gervinho AML? I've read lots of conflicting reports on who's a "beast" in FM so it's confusing me.

I saw a "who to choose" thread, so I'm hoping this is the right place for this.

Thanks!

Torres and Lavezzi up front, no question about it.

I've played Robinho many times, he's good, but not a beast, his selfishness will cost you dearly at times and his finishing is just plain incompetent.

I hear Walcott and Gervinho are good, though I haven't played them myself, perhaps someone else can input about them here

I have Dzeko as well.

Maybe play 3 forwards in Lavezzi, Torres, and Dzeko? What kind of formation would work?

Thanks btw, and any other input is also great!

Lavezzi as poacher.
Torres as advanced forward, I always find advanced forward does better than complete if you just stick to the default instructions.

Robinho as AML and Gervinho AMR both as inside forwards.
Robinho could be played as a winger if you'd prefer, neither walcott or gervinho are great as wingers I find.

Edit: seeing as though you have Dzeko you could play him and Torres upfront with Lavezzi playing as AMR with Robinho on the left. Play them as wingers and have Dzeko be your target man.

Well, I was trying to find out how to get the best out of all these players AKA which ones to leave on the bench, which ones to play where, and what formation to use.

I've heard Lavezzi does really well as a poacher, as does Walcott, but I also have Torres and Dzeko, so that's why I was confused.

What about having a 3-4-3, with Dzeko in the center as target man, Torres on the left as advanced forward, and Lavezzi on the right as a poacher?

Or maybe the two strikers, with a CF right behind them in the middle, and then AMR, AMC, and AML behind them, with a DM and 3 CBs?

Only problem with playing 3 up front is you'll need 2 subs, so I wouldn't recommend it

So then what's the best formation/tactics to use and which ones to play?

ANd what do you mean I'll neeed 2 subs?

When you set up your team at the beginning of the season, your 25 players need to be a starting 11 + 11 subs (1 assigned to each member of your starting 11) + 3 wild card players who can play multiple roles.

For example, I'll have 2 DR + 2 DL and 1 who can play both positions.

Now, with a 3 man attack, you'll need 3 strikers + 3 sub strikers at the very least to account for injuries and suspensions.

In my current save I'm playing a 4-1-2-1-2, so I have 4 strikers + 1 player who's an AMC/ST.

That's why I think having 3 strikers is never a good idea, if out of your 25 you'll have 6 strikers or even 7 if you apply the wild card to that position, you'll be facing a dilemma for the rest of the 25.

Just a thought.

Ah I see what you're saying, but I'm just running an "experiment" with this...I don't need this many quality players anyway.

I'm just wondering what the best set up is for these 7 guys: Gervinho, Lavezzi, Walcott, Robinho, VDV, Torres, and Dzeko

How much can I sacrifice on defense (because it's not high quality) to play as many of these guys as possible? Or is it just best to stick to 2 strikers, and an AML, AMC, and AMR?

Basically, what I mean is, if NOTHING else mattered, what kind of formation would you set these guys up in to get the best results and most goals? Let me know if there's any other info you'd need :)

You can't put all this players in your first team.
Try and play 4-2-3-1, Dzeko(advanced forward/target man) and Robinho(winger/IF)-VDV(At.Mid)-Lavezzi(winger/IF) behind him.
Gervinho, Walcott and Torres will be subs IMO.

Yeah I know I can't put all of them in my first team, was just wondering which ones to start, but I don't really like that plan considering I can at least play two strikers.

I just want another opinion on using 3 strikers/forwards (how that could be done with these three)

Or if I played a 4-4-2 Diamond with 3 AMs and a DM, who do I leave on the bench?

I'd probably play Lavezzi, Robinho, van der Vaart and Torres and with Gervinho, Walcott and Dzeko as subs. Walcott is, in my opinion and what he's done in my saves, one of the best subs in the game. If you put him on when the teams defense are getting tired and play him either as a poacher or winger, he can put one-two-three goals in short succession.

If you want to play as many as possible you could try a 4-2-4 with where you play with Gervinho and Lavezzi on the wings and play with either Torres and Dzeko on top and with van der Vaart and Robinho in a central midfield playmaker role. You could also try playing with Robinho/Torres or VDV/Torres on top.

Well so far, I've heard that Dzeko is an excellent target man, Torres as an excellent poacher/advanced forward, and Lavezzi & Walcott are excellent poachers. I'm not really sure what to do about Robinho, but he looks like a great poacher to me from his stats (except his finishing)

I like how you're suggesting that Walcott can be kept on the bench. But you really think Dzeko and Gervinho could be kept on the bench?

I'm interested in the 4-2-4 suggestion but the thing is that I don't have good central defenders but a pretty good DM (John Obi Mikel.

I've had two ideas so far:

Using a 4-4-2 diamond with Dzeko and Torres up front as target man and poachers, respectively. VDV as AMC, Gervinho as AML, and Walcott as AMR. Of course I can always put Robinho at AML and Lavezzi at AMR or sub in for Torres as a poacher.

Second idea was playing a 3-4-3 with Dzeko, Torres, and Lavezzi upfront as target man, advanced forward, and poacher. Then VDV at AMC, Gervinho/Robinho at AML, Walcott at AMR, and Obi Mikel at CDM.

Of course with the 3 strikers, I could also have two of them upfront (Dzeko and Torres) and one slightly behind them two as a Center Forward (Robinho/Lavezzi - what role would he get) and then VDV, Gervinho, Walcott.

Would any of these three work well?

Thanks again!
