Getting little out of managing low end teams...

Started well and just got promoted on my first season on the last day. From there i have created a decent team and after 6 years we were in the Championship.

I am now in my second season in the Championship and slowly I am getting better players. I am finding the game now a little boring. Mainly for the following reasons.<o></o>[/FONT]

• [FONT=&quot]I am only a favourite at the club, not an Icon or a Legend. Even though I have promoted them 5 times in six years!<o></o>[/FONT]
• [FONT=&quot]The club don’t wish to match my ambition, I’m a championship side and our club don’t own our stadium which is only 7000ish.<o></o>[/FONT]
• [FONT=&quot]Making money with such a small ground means I lose any player that plays well because they get more else where.<o></o>[/FONT]
• [FONT=&quot]A premier league club came calling (Blackburn 18th place) and I refused to respond to the speculation and my board asked me to clear my desk in the morning. I didn’t and they didn’t sack me.<o></o>[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]it just seems unrealistic now to carry on my game.

Do club build there own stadium eventually? If so how much do I need in the bank? Why is the club not recognising someone for his/her achievements? I have enjoyed getting this far and i really want to get into the PL but my club need to help me a little

2.2 million is no were near enough to get a new stadium .. if u get into the prem u willl earn serious money from tv revenue and prize money etc

The board in FM quite plainly suck, getting them to match your ambition is a difficult task. You'll need much more than 2.2 million for the building of a stadium too. To really raise the finance you'll need to get a good cup run several times or hit the prem. Cannot believe you got threats from your board btw :S

I know thats why i felt a bit undervalued at the club.

Im going well in my second season in the championship, 28 games in and im lieing in 4th, 9pts off the leaders Middlesbourgh.

Does anyone know how much i am going to need to get a stadium. For example a 20,000 would cost 50million maybe? I dont know im just guessing here. How much have other clubs spend on theres while playing a game?

Can't you go to the board room & ask for a stadium expansion.
Maybe if you keep doing that the board might do something about it i.e. get a bank loan for
a new stadium or something like that.

i will try again. I have asked twice and each time they tell me there is little they can do as they dont own the stadium. Its something i have not come accross yet.

You will need money then, All you can do is try be fly in the transfer market and sign players that maybe are too good for your club and try push for the premier league. Once in there...even if you go right back down will get a good 20m and from there you can re buiild and go back stronger.

You can't really fuss about it because it happens all over the UK. Keep at it though just send out scouts and try find some gems...maybe a better tactic

if you bug your board too much about it they get pissy. Have you tried giving ultimatums? I havnt had to yet. I have gotten my board to expand my training and youth facilities, but after half a year since they agreed, they havn't made any progress.

dont give them an ultimation because i did it and then they sacked me

Right i have been hard at work in the transfer market. Ive sold my several players and my balance now reads 23.4million. It wrecked my promotion bid and i finished 8th in the championship in the second season in that division. i have bought in 6 new players on frees including chopra my highest profile signing yet.

If i get around the 40-50million mark with my club is there a chance of a stadium plan or am i wasting my time now. I really want to get to the prem for one season with Bath City and this hasnt been easy so far.

yeah thats because the club own the stadium. My club dont own the stadium and therefore cannot expand it.

i gave an ultimatum wiv bradford city wen i was in my third season in the championship and they expanded by 11000 seats.

I had a stadium built twice, first time it was something about 20000 seats, it was about 5,5 mil €, 2nd time in another save I got a stadium with 20510 seats, soil heating and retractable roof and that one cost 11.75 mil€ which was expanded in the future to a 35571 seats. I played with Croatian club Cibalia

A few clubs dont own their own stadium, Forest for instance still rent the city ground... but then most of Nottingham rent off the council (IM JOKING!)

As has been said maybe get a player in for not much sell for a lot and then suggest the board build a ground is about all i can suggest (if i get promoted this season im going to try and bug for a stadium expansion...)

thanks you for your insites its giving me hope. Im midway thru a third season in the championship and my balance now it 31million so i really hope they will build something soon. Ive been buying up free players and selling them on 6month later. work well for cash but doesnt help me get consistant results lol
