Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, and i did do a search but couldn't find anything relevant.

I've got a number of new players in my squad that i brought in at the start of the season. And fair enough, they don't all learn English quickly, but i'm now 9 months into my season and i'm a bit surprised that all of the new players i brought in that come from non-english speaking backgrounds are still yet to at least have basic levels of English and are still yet to settle in with the first team squad.

Is there anything i can do to help players settle in quicker? My assistant manager keeps telling me that players X, Y, Z are having trouble settling in. I have my pre-match training on team blend and i have players/coaches that do speak the same language as these new players.

I realise that eventually they'll learn the language, but is there anything we can do to help this or do we just have to wait a year, or longer?

Cheers. :)

When buying playings from abroad there is always a chance they cant settle well within the clubs country and you might have to sell em but thats worst case scenario, sometimes tho it can take 2-3 years before a player really settles well as some players might not even even learn the language within 5 years not even basics.

When buying foreign players it can be important to see what languages they can speak and if you got some in your squad that can speak with em, this really helps if you dont have anyone then buy som cheap youth players from hes country can make him settle better earlier on.

A player with 2-3 languages seems to settle faster in a new place rather than one that only speaks 1 language but thats just my experience.

Depending on the player you might need to have alot of patience, but before you buying a player you gotta make up with your self if your willing to be patient with em for a few years.

I tend to make my own super stars in my games and i unusually buy 2-3 talents from a nation IF i have no one to help them settle already, it helps integrating new players much easier! tho try buy players with a similiar personality so they well get along much better and this helps too.

Sometimes your scout says if they have difficulty settling into new countries.

If you have a couple new signings set match preparation to team blend in the pre-season.

Sorry to sound like an idiot, but where is the adaptability stat found? i've looked throughout all his stats and reports and cant seem to find it??

One of the main players im talking of is fabio coentrao.
