When I get the new Football Manager games i like to, as I'm sure many people do, play the best teams in Europe untill I get a grasp on the changes and new features, and develop a working tactic.
Prroblem is, with the three teams I took control of, I cant get the teams to even play football, let alone win. I don't mind losing to a certain extent, but pretty much every game was just watching my team lie down to poor teams. Heres what I did:
Atletico Madrid: 4-4-2, with attacking midfield wingers. tweaked the team instructions to what i wanted, got absolutely hammered first 3 games, and at december im 15th.
Réal Madrid: 4-2-3-1, with attacking wingers and a centre attacking mid. Espanyol beat me 1-0 first game, morale was awful after the game, at december i've done well to be 6th.
Inter Milan: 5(3 cb, 2 wb)-2-1-2, this formation worked a treat last game with Inter, with sniejder winning player of the year awards at centre attacking mid. Milito and Eto'o we're awesome aswell, but in FM11 nothing is happening, the team can't string passes together and are always on the back foot.
Obviously there is no quick fix for these problems. I realise it might just be that I suck at the game, but I have done well in previous FM's and I'm getting a tad frustrated with this installment. Any tips would be helpful, and I'm just wondering whether its bad luck, or thatI'm doing something fundamentally wrong.
