Anyone else seem to notice that the ratings for the keepers are almost always low regardless of how well they play. Just had a game where my keeper made save after save. 1-0 Shutout win. Rating 6.7. Personally I thought his performance was an 8. Doesn't really impact too much, but I want to pad his ego in a private chat once in a while and I wish he'd get some credit!

In my Arsenal save de Gea got sometimes great ratings with 8.6 or 9. Especially in the important matches like the cl final.

The rating system isn't perfect. I once had an 8 - 1 victory and I was watching my keepers rating since we were leading 8 - 0 and he made save after save. The opponent scored on the 87th minute and my keepers rating went down from 7.5 to 6.9

I was thinking the same thing, Casillas is getting an average of 6.9 and he concedes rarely concedes a goal.

Agree. It's only when we are under serious pressure that he even seems to have the opportunity to get above 8.0. I think he got above 8.5 once in 3 years, when we were being absolutely hammered by Barca. Drew 1-1 and he won man of the match, still only 8.8 ish. If a goal saved is equivalent to a goal scored he'd be on a 10.0 quite often.

I wonder if this is a factor as to why keepers don't seem to be as good in long term saves...

haha conceded 10 goals in la liga and valdes has an av rating of 6.9 only 2 more games to play too, ridiculous!

That's because save after save is just doing his job. Once it becomes 10x save after 10x save does the rating start to fully go up.

It might depend on the type of saves aswell beacuse if they are all straight at him and easy to save they aren't going to increase his rating very much.

Disagree actually. I find it fairly frustrating when my 'keeper gets high ratings for little to no reason. If I batter a team 8-0 and they have one shot, he still gets a rating of 8.0+ - he's not done anything but kick the ball out to the full-backs.

The rating system sucks, essentially. It's the same with Wilshere - he'll get an assist and do not much else and yet be MOM consistently, even if Fabregas has got a goal and 2 assists and gets 7.3 or something.

I think the outfield player rating system works pretty well, I just think the goalkeeper rating system is *****.
