I am making a save with Inter Milan. Trying to get them back to their glory days with Jose Mourinho, winning the Champions League.

This is the team and tactics I'm going with for now, obviously I will make additions and players will recover from injury such as Zanetti and Milito so the team could change, but right now this is my best team.

A good start to pre-season although this kind of result was expected. I was delighted to see a man get two goals who I believe will be crucial to my success at Inter and I believe he has a great future ahead of him. Icardi.

A good result, Icardi superb again, scoring a fantastic goal off the post and in. Rolando was sent off after 60 minutes and Cambiasso slotted in at the back and did a good job. Freddy Guarin picked up Man of the Match.

This man Icardi is unstoppable! Although we were poor in this match at the back, the two keepers I played both had shockers but it is just a friendly and we will learn from the mistakes we made in this game.

I sold central midfielder Kuzmanovic after the match.

Our next match will be a real test against Portuguese giants Porto.

Porto fielding their strongest team at the San Siro. It should be an exciting game with plenty of talent of the field all over the pitch.

What a performance. A great result to beat a very good team, and I cannot believe the consistency of Icardi, yet again scoring a crucial goal. Good day all round for the boys in blue and black.

Not bad. Im a fan of Inter actually, i quite like them so ill be following. One thing maybe make the screenshots bigger but other than that all good. Good Luck
 
Following, i have literally never played an Italian save on fm so the stories always intrigue me on FMBase

I made a new signing bringing in a young midfielder named Holt. My scouts believe he has a lot of potentially and I will slowly involve him with the first team as he is only 20 years old.

This wasn't a great performance like the last match but we get a win. This is the first game Icardi hasn't scored all though he did put the ball in the back of the net but was then flagged offside. New signing Holt got 45 minutes and 1 assist for Rolando's goal.

Benfica were simply better than us in this game. But I have one word to say about the match, 'MARKOVIC'. He was so good, scored 2 goals after 6 minutes showing pace, power and the composure to finish, I will definitely look at bringing him to Inter.

I have scouted Markovic and his agent said that his player has no intention of joining our club at this moment :( so we will try get him next season. The next match of our pre-season will be against Spanish, Rayo Vallecano, the club that produced Swansea's Michu.

A good win after a bad loss in our last game. Icardi back on the score sheet with 2 goals. Unfortunately for us Guarin had to be stretchered off after 10 minutes, hopefully his injury isn't a bad one.

We got the win with ease. Against a weak opposition, we still need to improve, although solid performance from debutantes Zarate and Drage. The later in particular getting both assists.

Our next match was our first Serie A game, away against Atalanta

A good result to start the league game, all the players stepped up, Milito got the winner off the bench and Drage also played 45 minutes and impressed.

Next up was Catania at home and I decided to start Drage as he has continued to impress me since his arrival at Milan.

We didn't get the win but we were a lot better up front in this match. Zarate made a huge difference in the second half but our back line was a bit shaky in this match, I might try to integrate a formation with 4 at the back and see how that works. One of their players got M.O.M.

I decided to sell Japanese wing back Nagatomo to Schalke as I received an offer I could not refuse:

The next match at home against Sampdoria is a must win, after failing to get maximum points in our last 2 games I went back to a 3-5-2 and started new goalkeeper Wiese:

I've never played with three at the back. I always lick my chops when I see a team line up with a back three because I know my wingers are going to have a field day. I can hit them on the counter and set my team to exploit the flanks and I usually bag at least two and more often than not more.

Are you able to get your outside mids to track back?

Very curious.

yeah they do tend to track back but often get found out at the back like teams score down the middle a lot..
