As far as I'm concerned there's only one way to play FM10 and thats start from the very bottom. Like most games, you test the water on easy level (Man U, Chelsea, Madrid etc) then go a little harder until you take on the ultimate challenge.

Kudos to the guy that sat and made the English leagues playable to the 11th tier and I think anyone who takes a team from the 11th tier to the VERY top can claim to be king of FM10. No sugar daddy's, no extra modifications on the editor - get what your given and get on with it.

I started a game as Lakeside in the Essex Olympian Div 1, all players on amateur contracts and £300 in the bank. My record so far is...

2009/10 - Essex Olypian Div 1 - 1st
20010/11 - Kent County D1W - 2nd
2011/12 - Kent County D1W - 1st
2012/13 - Kent County Prem - 1st
2012/13 - Kent Bill Mankelow Inter Regional Challenge Cup - Winner

Now have £300k in the bank (mainly due to lots of away friendlies with big appearance fees). Part Time contracts.

Anyone doing anything similar?

I always find it fun, me and my brother are currently hooked on a save with a team called Mauritious sport, i believe they are in level 6 or 7, its hard but we are loving it

OK, a touch unrealistic.... But after being promoted from the Essex Senior League, I get this in my inbox...

Di Matteo sacked.... Bolton (18th in Prem), Neil Lawson 'most likely' candidate.

I politely decline...and carry on my merry way!
