Hi , I've noticed that it is quite difficult to score a goal even against fairly weak teams when I manage a team that is a one of the top teams. It takes in my opinion too many attempts to score and it is not realistic when I had over 65% possession and at least 10 shots on goal (just to remind you its a game against much weaker teams). Is anyone experiencing the same issue?

I have noticed this too. I beat 3 strong teams in a row (Chelsea, City, Arsenal) and then played the bottom two teams and drew 0-0, even though I had over 30 shots. Some people might say the strikers suck though :P

It seems to of fixed itself, now won 6 games in a row! my strikers don't seem do as much as previous versions. Anyone getting the same issue?

I think the answer to some extent may lie in training players preffered moves this is the way im looking at getting round it. Some of the 1v1s i miss at the minute are laughable and Silva and nasri cutting in 1v1 cant score to save thier lives even on thier stronger sides. Teaching players to place shots/Lob keepers etc may be a good idea.

Ive played totenham for instance 3 times already this season and soldado has scored 4 lobs against me surely must be to do with his ppm's.

No update/patch would fix that anyway.

I spoke may times about this before but the moderator was quick to dismiss my findings. Put simple it does happen and that is what makes the game even more difficult this year. My teams have to really create a lot chances to score while AI teams are so lethal from the very few they get. There is a huge difference all round and that has been my main concern

I should have been clearer in my previous post. No update/patch will fix it, because it isn't an ME issue. It's a tactical issue.

41 shots is just too many. Quality over quantity. If you're getting 41 shots at goal, they're bound to be just speculative shots. I'm going to take an educated guess and say you're playing with an Attacking mentality, minimum, against a team parking the bus. With that mentality, your front players are going to rush to the front and stay there, leaving the deeper players to try and do something on their own which, in your case happens to be taking shots. It just isn't the way to break down a defensive team!

Of course they'll be more efficient. You're trying to pick a lock using a hammer. Instead of probing for opportunities and creating gaps with clever movement, you're just trying to charge all out and it is barely working. They'll be more efficient because there will be big gaps on the counter attack, if you're not careful.

Sigh... and here I was thinking I had finally debunked that myth with this post.

There is no difference between the way the match engine treats the user or the artificial intelligence. Take the word of coders, people who actually understand that sort of stuff. Don't just assume 40+ shots should result in a massive scoreline. It is blatantly untrue.

If the Match Engine did do what you are accusing it of, SI would be at risk of being sued for the spreading of misinformation of a product, and any coder who could expose this would be capable of earning a beyond considerable amount of money for exposing them. Nobody has come out. That should say everything you need to know.
