Ive just been promoted to the premiership with middlesbrough and im looking for a good counter attacking or away tactic to use, i usually play a 4-3-2-1 tactic which has done me well but just looking for something a little different on the road as my normal tactic can leave me conceeding maybe a few too many on the rd thanks in advance for any responces

Good Counter tactics

You can try 4-1-4-1 DM with attacking/highly structured mentality similar to bayern's. it works for me when facing bigger teams.

Sideline Shoutout

Much Higher Defensive Lines
Close Down Much More
Use Offside Trap
Prevent Short GK Pass
Higher Tempo

Roles

GK - Sweeper Keeper (Attack)
RB - Full Back (Attack)
Both CB - Central Defender (Defend)
LB - Full Back (Support)
DM - Half Back (Defend)
RM - Wide Playmaker (Support)
RCM - Advance Playmaker (Attack)
LCM - Deep Lying Playmaker (Support)
LM - Wide Playmaker (Attack)
ST - Defensive Forward (Support)

Try it. I have tried with 3 lower division teams (Leeds, Oxford United and N.Sembilan FA) and i have almost the same shots on goal as the bigger opposition. With the right tweaks during play, you will beat them 1-0 or 2-1.

cheers mate i will give it a go cant be any worse than how im doing against big team at the min
