Good Regens Drying Up?

Morning, I have been doing a save with Bodo Glimt in Norway and I am currently in 2026/2027 season, I have been loving this save ever since I started it and I am domination Norway comfortably. over the years I have signed many top top regens for next to nothing via a few different searching methods. however in the last 2/3 seasons nothing is coming through. I struggle to find a regen now with PA of over 3.5 stars. and if I do they are at top clubs and will not join me. I just wondered if anyone had a reason why this would be happening or do I need to change my searching methods? as I say I have been dominating Norway every year near enough even with many squad rebuilds I cannot even manage to compete past the quarter finals of a European trophy. the downside of Norway is that I can only have 9 non homegrown players in a 30 man squad. this is made even more frustrating when only 1/2 good Norwegian regens are coming through in probably the last 5 years! this means I need to try and sign the best talented regens early at 16-18, therefore they become homegrown before they are 22/23. its really starting to stop my improvement in the team and I can't seem to take the club any further! HELP!!

The reason you probably are not finding as many players is because of the talent in your squad. Star ratings are compared against the other players in your club. For example, Adam Lallana would probably be 4/4.5 stars in a Southampton team but if you were to put him in a Real Madrid team and compare him to the likes of Bale and Ronaldo he will probably only be around 2.5/3 stars. So really you just have to compare their potential and current ability against the players in your team.
