ffs, the whole point of football manager 2009 is doing your own stuff, look at your players and see where your squad's strengths are then build around that..its like if your team have quality wingers who can deliver great crosses at both flanks what would you do? you would play down both flanks unless your mentally stupid no offense but use your brain.
your never gonna learn if you dont experiment, create a formation, tactics, player instructions of your own then tweak untill perfecto!. But if its the total opposite to that and goes completely wrong then you learn from your mistakes and try again so its a win win situation.
Sorry if im being a ****, But im no tactic specilist but i found success building a quality squad and tactic down to being precise on who i buy by looking into every detail possible(im not the person who signs and signs and signs with no thought being put into it) like what the player stat needs for the specific position and role hes going to play in my team, whats the max-price im going to pay for the specific player i DO not go overboard and spend 40+ on a player i know who is not worth the money and spending like 20mins setting up def freekicks/attacking freekick/corners and maybe throw-ins if i have a rory delap in my team which can be the difference between 1 point to three points which is quite a difference.
All you need to know when creating a tactics is the more time and thought being put into it the more rewarding it will be plus patience is key DONT expect results stragiht away like most people do.
