Bad News for the Carlisle players.

After it looked like Paul Hart was set to become the new manager of Carlisle United it is understood that he has said no to the job due to his family not happy with the location of the football club.

Obviously I'm delighted to be given the Carlisle job. After hearing the chairmans plans for this club I couldn't say no to the offer. The chairman wants us playing Premiership football within the next 8 years, as I am fairly ambitious I think we can be in the top league within the next 5 years. I have appointed Alan as he is a very good friend of mine. I think us two along with all the other staff members will be able to make this a very successful football club.

Yep, our fans are hopefully going to be staging a good protest! All planned out. We havent got anything upfront really either since we sold Deeney to Watford. Darren Byfield has said on twitter he has gone to hospital for a check up on his injury so it looks like he's out too!

Transfer update with the season about to start.

Fairly decent Pre-Season for Carlisle.

Pre-season could have been better but at the same time it could have been worse. We played lots of matches so it was fairly obvious I would have to rotate the players which wasn't ideal but considering we had to I was pleased with the performances. I am fairly confident that we can come away with 3 points against Swindon who are a very good side. I will make sure that my players don't get sloppy as we know that they could punish us.

Dixon Gutted that Chairman is looking to step down.

I was upset to hear that Andrew Jenkins wants to step down. He was one of the main reasons why I joined this club. If he does decide to leave then I will still aim to get this club into the Premiership within the next 5 years.

Tycoon Eyes Carlisle.

A Tycoon is linked to be taking over at Carlisle United. After hearing that current Chairman Andrew Jenkins wanted to leave a mystery foreigner is in the running to buy the cash strapped club.

Well obviously its going to be exciting knowing that a tycoon wants to buy the club. However everyone cant let all that distract the hardwork whats happening to produce results on the pitch. We just beat a very strong side 3-0, so therefore I want to keep playing well. There is no reason why we should let this distract us.

Transfer window shut!

Overall I am happy with the activity involving this club during this window. We had to balance the books a bit and I think we done that fairly well. We spent very little money in bringing players to this club which is good seeing as we received far more than what we spent.

Dixon happy but plenty of room for improvement.

We started the season very well with two good wins against decent opponents. However despite the win against Notts County we wern't anywhere near up to the standard we should be. Me and Alan will be looking at ways to improve our performances away from home which is something which needs to be sorted quickly. I'm fairly optimistic we can do well in September despite being away to Sheff Wed and Southampton.
