Goodnight Irene. here i will be attempting to take Bristol Rovers as high as i can.

After Paul Trollope's resignation last week Paddy O'Leary has quickly been appointed at the Memorial Stadium.
Paddy O'Leary, 39 has been a Rovers fan at heart all his life.

he has a repectable playing career which started out when he was 16 at Bath City. He had made 71 appearances and 30 goals for city before becoming captain at the age of 19. he then had a cracking season which saw him put away 27 goals in 39 league games. after recieving the golden boot award he then moved to Bristol Rovers for a fee of £60'000 when he was 20 years old.

O'Leary never really had much of a chance to prove himself in the first year as he broke his leg after only 2 weeks at the club.
He then moved to non-league side weymouth on a season long loan when he was 21. at the end of the loan he returned to weymouth on a free transfer to see out the rest of his dissapointing career and retired at the age of 32.

O'Leary has been a referee in the Blue square conferance since then and his position as manager at Bristol Rovers has shocked many fans.

Salisbury 0-4 Bristol Rovers
Bristol Rovers 0-2 Aston Villa
Bristol Rovers 3-4 Wolves
Bristol Rovers 1-1 Portsmouth

a reasonable pre-season saw Rovers thrash Salisbury 4-0 in their only away game of the pre-season.
it also saw Rovers lose unconvincingly to premier League side Aston Villa.
the highlight of the bunch has to be the 3-4 loss to wolves. 1-0 up at half time the Gas were doing rather well, but then it all went pear shaped as the back 5 fell apart and conceded 3 goals in 20 minutes. 1-3 to Wolves and Duffy was brought on to replace Mellor in the 80th minute. he scored his first touch of the game and added another one 2 minutes later. Rovers were back in this, but unfortunately knightly scored for wolves in the 89th minute and wrapped up a win in an epic match.
Rovers also performed well against Pompy to secure a draw, a goal form ***** Topp in the 13th min helped the gas to a draw.

transfers ?

I'll update the transfers at the end of the deadline
:)

Not an great opening game for Rovers as we were beaten 2-1 by Orient
Rovers come back with a better performance as we beat Wycombe 2-0 in the league cup 1st round, Rovers have been drawn against sheffield wednesday for the second round.
Stockport came from behind twice to eventually seal a point against a lucky Bristol Rovers side.
Darryl Duffy put FOUR past hartlepool as Rovers mauled them 5-2 a truely wonderful performance bu the Gas

Why did you let Jeff Hughes go ? :'(

i was a little short on cash and needed the money to stregnthen other ateas of the squad, considering he's only worth 80k to get 120k is quite good and so far ive been doing well without him.

You'll be on 10.0
