Goodnight Irene. here i will be attempting to take Bristol Rovers as high as i can.
After Paul Trollope's resignation last week Paddy O'Leary has quickly been appointed at the Memorial Stadium.
Paddy O'Leary, 39 has been a Rovers fan at heart all his life.
he has a repectable playing career which started out when he was 16 at Bath City. He had made 71 appearances and 30 goals for city before becoming captain at the age of 19. he then had a cracking season which saw him put away 27 goals in 39 league games. after recieving the golden boot award he then moved to Bristol Rovers for a fee of £60'000 when he was 20 years old.
O'Leary never really had much of a chance to prove himself in the first year as he broke his leg after only 2 weeks at the club.
He then moved to non-league side weymouth on a season long loan when he was 21. at the end of the loan he returned to weymouth on a free transfer to see out the rest of his dissapointing career and retired at the age of 32.
O'Leary has been a referee in the Blue square conferance since then and his position as manager at Bristol Rovers has shocked many fans.
