I'm gutted tbh. First saw him watching my first FA Cup final as an Everton fan in 1984 and since then had a soft spot for him and Watford. All round top bloke not just in football but in general who had time for everyone.

RIP :(

Anybody know how he died? Was quite sudden ...

Always seemed to me to be quite a nice person. Which added to my liking of him as a pundit. Im also old enough to remember how good he was at Watford.

RIP with all my heart.

Fantastic manager just a shame he's remembered more for subbing lineker than what he did at Watford RIP

Was he the guy who used to be on 5 live fairly regularly?

He was a pundit on 5 Live yeah. There's also speculation it may have been a heart attack.

Just been watching Adam Leventhal in bits having to read out the statement on SSN (Watford fan). I think that sums up just how much of an icon he truly was in the footballing world and what he meant to people.

There's going to be many tears shed on Saturday.
