I think The SNP should shut there gob and let the officials from SFA, EFA, WFA :S, NIFA to decide whether this should go ahead.

I think with the talent coming through at present moment we have a good shot at creating a worthwhile team to compete.

Thoughts,

i agree, great britain team shud go ahead, lets be honest tho y wud britain wnt scottish players? snp r just a bunch of tim minded ppl wntin nuttin 2 do wit the english. scotlands a joke

Fact Gill.

John Fleck
Steven Fletcher
David Clarkson

To name a few.

How theres a Quota in which there must be a certain amount of players per Nation like 4 for England 4 for Scotland 4 for Northern Ireland and 3 from Wales I think it is.

yh ano but come on, englands u21 n u18 more class thn scotland seniour
i wnt britain 2 win in the olympics obv

but tbh nw i cudnt care if scotland get beat every game they play aftr what happened

to be fair i think it would ba amazing to see and i think there is still better quality in some of the scottish national team then in england same for wales and northern ireland. i.e. fleck, ramsey, evans all could be quality i years to come and englan would die to have in there team FACT

fair enough but look at the likes of, campbell, wellbeck, delfounesso, stanislas, richards(plays 1st team ir unders) joe hart, etc etc

but wherever there frm who cares as lng as TeamGB do well thts all that matters

Rule Britannia

Fact but thinking about Jonny Evans would easily command a place in Team GB along side Richards our defence would be rock solid what about gareth bale aswell.

yhyh they must b under 21 is it? but allowed few over

Olympic football squads have a maximum age of 23 with the exception of 3 designated over-age players

sorted

joe hart

johnson richards evans gibbs

lennon delph gerrard young

wellbeck sturridge

I think it will go ahead mainley through government pressure to feature team for 2012 and just for 2012.

Wales, scotland and NI are just worried that the team will be over run with english players which will happen.

Maybe Ched Evans, jonny evans will break through but they will be too old by then as its for under 23's aint it?
it will mainley be for the likes of wilshere, randall and that to shine the 16 17 yr olds now

it is your allowed three over aged players, if they have not played in a world cup or euro championship,

so

Hart

Bale Evans S.Taylor Richards

wilkshire Ramsey D.Flecher(C) Welbeck

Sturridge Evans

Manager: Sir Alex ferguson

i think this would probaly win or go very far

nah i would say.

hart
rodwell richards evans bale
wilkshire ramsey delph fleck
wellbeck sturridge

with gosling, addison, mcgugan, shelvey, mattock and maybee walcott if we really want to win it lol

how do you think gabriel agbonlahor and ashley young would fair in the team

nah i would say.

hart
rodwell richards evans bale
wilkshire ramsey delph fleck
wellbeck sturridge

with gosling, addison, mcgugan, shelvey, mattock and maybee walcott if we really want to win it lol
Switch Rodwell and Richards around because in all the youth games I've seen Rodwell play he's wasted on the right, much more useful in the centre where he can play his passing game better.

See look at the players we just mentioned an d were struggling to find a place for Agbonlahour thats a sign that we could actually impress at the Olympics.

Seen the suggested teams but I dont think the British team would win it. Brazil, Argentina and Italy seem to take it seriously.

Argentina would still be able to call on Aguero and Messi.
Brazil would have Anderson, Rafael twins, Denilson
Italy would have Balotelli, Santon and Paloschi.

Add in the three over age players and they would have some team.

By then its anyones guess who the next world class youngster is gunna be. We have the likes of wilshere who frankly is amazing when you see him play. I went to watch arsenal v wigan back last year and the fa youth cup vs the scum (spurs) and wilshere was immesnse.

I think mexico could have a decent crack with the likes of vela, and you know what holland and frances youth system is like its anyones guess who would come out smelling of roses of ****

Actually... It has nothing to do with the Scottish being worried that the Team GB will be overrun by Englishmen... we know that will happen as they have a better and bigger pool of players to pick from.

What Scotland and the SFA is worried about is that FIFA might just turn around and say... well if you can play as the United Kingdom in the Olympics... why should we let you have 4 teams for international competitions. Stripping Scotland, N Ireland and Wales of a dedicated international team and forcing us all to play under the banner of the United Kingdom.

You know then that if we all had to play as the UK in the World Cup and Euro's etc that there would be a team of 8 Englishmen and then a token player from each of Scotland, N. Ireland and Wales. If that at all.

THATS what they are worried about... I think a team GB should go ahead at the Olympics... but I don't want to loose an entire Scotland squad over the head of it... regardless of how ***** we play.
