Guessing a tactic

PLEASE ANSWER

How can you tell what approach/tactic a team being controlled by the AI uses? Is there any other way apart from scout reports?

Also, how would you go about trying to make a 'total football' tactic?

Attend their matches and watch how they play.

And Total Football is impossible to emulate on FM.

In the screen of the day's matches, before they're played, click the v, where the result will be, that will change v to attend and you'll go to their match.

Total Football requires all of the players having total creative freedom, swapping positions with each other no matter where they are on the pitch. Also it needs the whole team to press extremely high up the pitch as one unit which you cannot emulate on this game.
