Wenger has called it a day at the Emirates
After 16 years at the helm, Arsene Wenger has decided to call it a day at Arsenal, and is to be replaced by prodigy coach Josh Malin. Without a trophy for over 9 years, Wenger claimed he had taken the club as far as he felt he could and that a new manager would inject a much needed spark into the club. After a long deliberation with Arsenal chiefs, they decided that rookie Malin would take charge. After shadowing Wenger for the last 4 years preparing himself for management, the Frenchman told that this was the right time and the right man to take over. In an interview with BBC Sport, Josh Malin had this to say; "I was pleasantly surprised with the offer. I had seen reports that I would be the next manager but nothing more. With names like van Gaal and Hiddink linked, I thought I would be down the pecking order. Obviously I would like to offer my sincere thanks to Arsene, he's been brilliant."Wenger replaced by rookie Malin

With reports that the Gunners have over ?35m to spend in the upcoming summer, Malin has said to have targeted Q.P.R. frontman Loic Remy as his number 1 target as he looks to bolster Arsenal's front line. Other names such as ter-Stegen have been linked but Malin is keen to keep the squad together as much as possible.
