Basically I have a great game, score a goal or two and am constantly pressing the other team, right up until half time. I make no subs, do the usual team talk; do it for the fans, dont let your performance drop etc. I dont make any drastic team talks (anger (unless loosing 4-0 which is rare), sensational (unless winning 4-0 which again is rare)).

(I'm playing as Everton in 2010 by the way)

Against Chelsea I went 2-0 up in 20 mins, away. After half time they got 2 goals straight back. I put another one to go 3-2 infront, and in the 95th minute, they equalised! Almost exactly the same thing also happened against Villa and Man City.

What am I doing wrong and does anybody else find this to be a problem?

Go more defensive?
Change formation?

The opposition team start to get used to your playing style so you should change things around a bit, something they wont expect, I normally change my tempo and passing style if i have to.

Someone posted a detailed section on Team Talks, which I found really helpful so I saved it for future reference...

I've attached it on here, I take no credit for it, it all goes to whoever did it!

But hope it helps???

Whenever i have talks i always encourage team or tell them they can win it, it seems to work.

Thanks for the advice guys, it's very much appreciated!

I've just downloaded that document Ma-Li so thank you, it seems very detailed so clearly whoever wrote it knows their stuff so I will be trying it out now! :D
