Hamachi question

Hello! Could someone tell me why i sould bother installing hamachi to run my network game?
I'm playing without it and everything looks fine,except the fact that everyone except the server
has to be patient because of the slow speed. Am i missing something important? Thanks guys!

Because using a program such as hamachi is the only way to play a network game.

Wait, are you telling me you are running a network game with somebody in a different house without hamachi? WTF?

Yes that's what im saying. I dont use any hamachi. I just run fm as a server,and my 2 pals join my game. I just give them my ip and they join the game. Whats the point for the hamachi???

i want to play a net game can anybody tell me how to find my ip adress.i'm an amatuer.when i try to connect to server it always says unable to connect to server.i use connect as server but nothing happens. help please
