On the 1st of July 2009, former sunday league striker Harry Charnock was hired as the new manager of Unibond Premier Division (Level 9) side Woodley Sports FC.
In a statement when asked about his new job, Charnock said, "I'm overjoyed to be the new boss, but I cant help but stress how weak our squad is. My main aim in this job is to strengthen the squad and make them ready for a higher level of football. I certainly wont be here forever but I look to make my mark on the team while I'm here".
Charnock is a big name in local football after leading his local pub side 'UnReal Madrid' to Regional Premier Division glory for 2 years on the run.
He hopes to make the most out of his link with local League One side Stockport County by bringing in one or two players on loan to strengthen his squad.
Hope you follow, cheers. (H)
