So have you ever managed for e.g. you favourite Prem team, and then next season, your more favourite team from Championship got into Prem and you want to help it to stay...

My version is a bit different... I'm Hajduk Split, 8th season. Last season my hometown club Junak from 2.HNL got into 1.HNL, so I wanted to help it stay. I lost against them twice on purpose so that they stay up, and they stayed due to these 6 points. I even managed them in 8th season summer transfer window(and 7th season winter) through the 'add a manager' feature and I bought them players with whom I improved the club and I'm currently helping them to win their first trophy the Croatian Futsal Cup, and also I'm going to manage them for good from next season on(after I win the CL with Hajduk 3rd and last time in row).

So, as I said, is anyone trying to help their clubs like this or I am a fanatic lunatic?

That's pointless.

not if you are a big fan of the club, maybe not but still if you want that so badly to help them, that's just how I feel. So officialy I'm a fanatic lunatic.

also it's more pointless to cheat with a club who is as good as Barca, I'm simply helping another one

Sometimes if I'm managing a big club and I have a big transfer budget, good finances and a squad I'm happy with I would go and spend big money on a St Mirren reserves player to give them lots of money. Highest I've seen them finish is still only 3rd though.

The closest I've come too that is, after leaving Everton in the PL, my forever loved Plymouth Argyle fired their manager- They were in the bottom half of League One. Despite playing in the Europa League the previous season, I applied for the Argyle job and got it

But really, buying their clubs reserve players for millions is a bit of a pointless excersise, as its not affecting them real life..

Only thing I do is that if Arsenal or Milan bid for my player along with other clubs I only accept their bids and decline others. But only if they pay what I want for the player.

I don't know if you consider it cheating but I try to tend to only accept offers for my players if they are other Spanish teams. The only time if like Real Madrid or Barcelona can get a player from my team if they are crazy enough to pay like 80 million for them. Which has happened a couple of times. Last year I sold a 22 year old defender to Real for 80 million and his value was only like 9 million but was a beast. My logic is though to let other teams get good players so the competition for the league is good. I made Sevilla and Sporting at least top four clubs the last three years for some players I sold them.

Still it has to around what everyone else is offering. Its not like Sporting is giving like 20 million less for a guy and i just accept it has to be on par for what other teams are asking.

Why dont you just manage them?

I first want to get Hajduk to a big-clubs reputation, and I have a squad as good as Man Utd's and I'm on a winning streak for my third CL win. As for managing Junak, I will as I said... next season.

I tend to find one club is enough for me..Managing two clubs at a time would get me out of hand :/

Yep, I added new manager to Real Madrid and got Essien, Ribery, Pastore, Chiellini and De Gea. They won ECC after that. Oh and yea, I got them Zapata too :D...
Essien 70 mil
Ribery 50 mil
Pastore 25 mil
Chiellini 60 mil
De Gea 15 mil
and Zapata 30 mil
Im bad. And no, no MI :D

I am currently managing Arsenal in 2014 and I have helped Newcastle by taking charge of them when they sacked Pardew and McLeish and buying players for them. Didnt buy any of my players and didnt manage any games. Michael Laudrup in charge now.

Also if they bid for one of my players I will accept it and refuse every other bid unless I get offered more by some other club

Don't think it's that a good idea tbh mate. I like realism, and I like the game to progress without me changing anything other than who I manage- if my favourite club or hometown team got relegated or had troubles, I'd let it happen and see how the game progresses.
