Has anyone figured out how to play Xavi?

I mean get him to hit the coveted 100 pass mark. I could do it for fm10, but it seems impossible on FM11
 
im still trying to work on it but its so hard i can do everything else but i play 4 3 3 not the so call 4 1 2 2 1 what a lot of people say is 4 3 3. I have Xavi sitting in the middle of the 3 maybe you could try my tactic and see if you can do anything with it, The highest passes ive got is 86 lowest 29......

Can you get him to 100 passes? With my tactic, I can get around 50-70 quite often, but never as high as 100.

i gt xavi to 96 passes using my custom formation but it was made in classic mode
 
can you post your team's & xavi's settings please.
in team settings are you playing with control (or attack),short passing, and xavi as your primary playmaker?
 
i would mate bt it is a joint tatic nd aint complete

K. Can you give me a PM or something when you decide to share it? I'm really interested in this, and it's become kind of an obsession to get Xavi to make those ******* 100 passes.
 
yh it is mine as well bt i dnt believe u can do it on the new formation settings i fink u hve to use individual settings and aclassic formation
 
Have him as the Playmaker, and have short passing. Team-mates should pass to him the majority of the time and with his skills he should complete 90%+ of the passes.
 
slightly off topic but where can do you find where it says how many passes they made?

Already do that. I even set him as the target man. still can't get more than 76 (meaning that's the highest I've ever gotten
