I am playing FM games since 2005.I have won many competitions, with many different clubs. Off all games, FM07 was best FM game ever.I played it or I am still playing it for hours. Later sequels like FM09 were somehow boring. In my opinion, game doesn't have flame anymore that would you keep watch in screen for hours. It has become more difficult to win or there isn't exictement managing clubs like Barcelona or Milan...:(But I am happy and pleased when I make success with small clubs. What to say about player interactions, transfer options, board requests, that weren't changed for years... I ask you again: ''Has FM lost its purpose?''

"It has become more difficult"

... Problem with that.?

that isn't problem... but remember FM 2007 when you could win without stress...

But it makes it more Realistic, due to the fact a manager does not win anything without Stress, so it makes the game better and more realistic if it's harder to win stuff, just like it is in real life.

I agree. What's the point of playing if you can win every single game and never have to put forth any effort?

carter you are right comrade.but it is about time to change many things in FM like player interactions for example:'' Declare you are interested in signing..'' i got tired watching that four or maybe more years...

FM is better than it has ever been, by far the most realistic Football Management game on the Market.

If its too hard for you, dont buy it.

fm2010 for me is the best footy manger i have ever played going back to cm99/00 my first one.

i think some older games such as cm 03 04 were much better than the fms, but i still think its a fab game and i do play it alot

I don't think it's lost it's purpose... I mean it's purpose is to be the most realistic football management sim out today, and it is that. But it could improve, hopefully over the next few years we will more updates to make the non-footballing side improve and turn it into something a bit better.

this is the best football game since

FiFA 99 -

Oh The Dennis Berkamp Eraa XD

I agree with stuart it is by far the best Football Management game out there
and stress is just part of the expirence mate

FM was obsolete from its creation due to one game
CM 01/02. Nuff Said

But on a more serious level it has gradual changed over the years and become harder, but they can't change everything at once because it will alienate some buyers, I don't expect them to work on the graphics too much this year and concentrate on other aspects like Media coverage, transfers etc but time will tell October is soon :)

I think FM is great as I don't have an amazing computer. If I did I would of gone for fifa manager 10. But as I couldn't run it and I could run FM .I decided to play FM and so far I am enjoying it..... apart from XML parsing error

you say that because it has become harder which in real life being a football manager is a stressful job

Fm 09 was by far the worst out off the lot this has to be the best out off them all..

I've been playing management sims since Premier Manager back on my Amiga 500 in the mid-nineties, and each year CM, now FM, has progressed further and further towards realism. It's by far the most realistic Management Sim on the market. There is no other game available that can match FM.

I agree with Mr. T, hopefully an upgrade to media & transfers will hopefully be the main focus this year. I'm unable to use the 3-D Engine due to GFX Card Pixels (the same reason I couldn't play 09 AT ALL!) but i'm a big fan of the split screen setup with match stats on the right & flicking between the match score & scorers/player stats on the left, i'm more into numbers, graphs etc than actually watching the dots run round X-D

It's definately getting harder, but the day I can't win the SPL in the first Season with Celtic, without losing, is the day I know it's getting really tough ;-)

As Andy explains below, no it hasnt lost its purpose. Its a football SIMULATION, its not meant to be easy/enjoyable all the time.

This thread is turning into a ''how to improve the game for FM2011'' thread so im closing it.
