Has this ever happened to anyone THIS early?!

I already managed to get the board to increase Old Trafford's capacity to around 107,000. I'm so annoyed that the game has decided to spend that much money to increase the capacity by only 33,000! And the new stadium name... How bizarre!

United got taken over at the end of my first season, the finances were quite good after that, but now they're not that great at all! What a waste of money! Would've loved to have a bit of money to spend, especially since Messi is unhappy at Barcelona and could be available for quite cheap.

'the board are delighted they can afford the stadium without external funding'

'additional funding has been secured'

rofl.

I don't know how quick stadium changes normally happen, but them being named after a random club legend is very common. Plus, your finances are gash because its June 2nd. Wait for your TV revenue etc late june/ early july and set your season expectations and you'll have money.

^That. And also.... what did you do? How did you get that?

I am winning things everywhere (2CLs, 2 premier leagues) at Emirates, regularly fill the stadium, and have held back on transfers for a year (£70m budget) so they can get the funding. Why won't they let me build!!! It's 2013.

I haven't really done anything extraordinary to be honest, i won the league and league cup in the previous season. Had to sell players to buy players since i only had a small transfer budget for some reason.

The sponsorship deals are only each worth around £1.5 million a season, they don't make much difference. It's only the kit sponsorship thats worth around £20 million.

The emirates is only like 5 years old.. I don't see why they would build a new stadium so soon.

I have a new stadium on the way in my Liverpool save which is due for completion at the end of the 2017/18 season. I am currently mid way through that very season. Cant remember what the capacity is but it was a nice surprize as i didnt ask for it. Its defo no were near 140,000 though.

there is another thread about stadium names on here, i remember reading about some1 saying they wanted their OM stadium to be called Fanni arena lol

In the boardroom, when I select the stadium option, it says attendance: 65,000. The Emirates is only like 60,000... so I assume the first number is effective demand? Maybe when that number reaches 80,000 they will consider rebuilding? Or maybe they can expand it?

140k capacity! OMFG! It's almost bigger than May-Day Stadium in North Korea! Holy ****. I want to see what happened in that save, because you certainly got rid of the debt Man U had fast.

Have you got foreigners in the team? Are your feeders commercial? These all add up, but how do you get a new stadium in 2013?? I managed Sorrento to Serie A and their stadium is 3,600, got a capactiy increase to 32,000, now challenging at the top end and cannot get a stadium, or another expansion in 2019!!!

Im managing Tottenham :) I have won the Premiership 4 times in a row, and the Championship 2 times in a row, and I still cant get the board to build a new stadium :( and its not like we dont have any money!!

I could be wrong but you have a stadium sponsor deal until 2025 which could be a factor.
