Well i believe this warrants a first post around these parts

A little backstory first. I'm currently managing Blackpool as ive grown rather fond of them (Part of me died inside when they went down IRL). Anyway, my first signing on any save is always Guillermo Ochoa and has been ever since FM2007.

I really highly rate him. Problem is, he's rather good. And other clubs catch on to that fact rather quickly. And being a small club, any attention from the big boys might make him unsettled. So to fend off any potential ravenous suitors, i pinned a ridiculous 400,000,000 pound price tag on his head and considered the problem solved. And it was.

Until this happened.

Has anyone ever got anything similar for such a ridiculous price and is it just a baseless rumor or will they actually make a bid?

I'm really conflicted here. I really, and i mean REALLY like this lad. I was hoping to build my future squad around him. And as you can see, only conceded 52 in 62. I really dont want to sell him, whatever the price..

thats just speculation though isn't it - if you actually get an offer that large then you must accept it, you could build a new team with that kind of cash. Thing is though, as its just speculation and not a firm offer than i think you are extremely unlikely to recieve such an offer

follow the link Sam gave you in future, he is ok, much better keepers out there to be fair, you could buy a whole new squad for that...

realistically they will never offer that! there assumptions are taken from the price you have set and average it out somewhat... if you put is asking price to 1k United would offer "250k" or something like that!

if they offer that (or anywhere more than triple his current value I would like to see that) but they dont ever do that
