Height and weight - do they do anything?

I always assumed they did but I was never %100 certain.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is a constant victim of SI underrating his height and he's listed as 173cm but he's really 180cm. This is really important IMO (IRL) for someone as fast and strong as him to be tall. Anyone noticed any other similar mess ups? Some times I see funny weights but I can't remember any off the top of my head.
 
Jumping is likely the stat that is important relative to height, as far as I know the ME only uses Jumping ability, I suspect strength is the stat used instead when weight would be a factor (tackles, fighting for the ball etc.)

Height and weight do increase as a player ages but I think they are purely cosmetic.
 
Tyrone Marsh at Oxford is 168cm on the game when he's 180cm in real life.
