help 4-4-2 / old style tactic

hey,

i need help with fm14 as i always used the "convert to classic" or whatever option before. i like to play 44-2 where the attcking is up a little but not enough for it to say "attacking" and i like to focus my passing to my quick winders who can bang balls across.

i will upload a save of my old tactic from fm13 and also some screenshots. please can someone help me replicate this in fm14, or maybe suggest an alternative as i cant seem to beat the teams i should be beating

what is your current set up on fm14?

what I'd probably go with for your style is your 442

Mentality: Standard
Style: Balanced

GK: D
Rgiht full Back: Support
CD: D
CD: D
Left full Back: Attack
Right Winger: Attack
Right Centre Mid: Support
Left Centre Mid: Defend
Left Winger: Attack
False9: support
Advanced forward: Attack

These roles and duties will provide movement between the lines, which will help when keeping possession.
in terms of team instructions maybe something like:

Possession:
More Direct Passing, Pass into space, Clear ball to flanks, Hit early crosses, drill crosses, run at defense.

Penetration:
Exploit the flanks, look for overlap.

Shape:
Play wider.

Defending:
Hassle Opponents, Get stuck in, Tighter Marking.

General:
Higher Tempo.


I have no idea if this would work out to be a successful tactic or not, however based on what you are looking for this is my interpretation. Hope it helps and good luck.

i kinda gave up and stuck with 4-2-3-1 instead.
