Hi,

I got a new PC the other day - of course I'm now running Windows Vista. One of the main reasons I invested in the new machine, was so that it would run CM properly - which it does, so part one of the mission accomplished.

But, like most new Vista users, I can't get used to, or function that well, within the new operating framework yet -to put it bluntly it's a nightmare, and I find myself struggling and fumbling over simple functions that I'm sure would have been a piece of cake on good old XP.

I'm really struggling with some of the downloads from here, and getting them to work in the game, and, rather than clog up the boards with posts on "how do I get this working?" "how do I do that?" etc, if I could just get 10 minutes of somebody's time, someone who runs Vista, and is experienced in getting facepacks/logos/graphics files to run with no problems, it would be really really appreciated.

I will be playing CM all day today (get in!) and so dropping onto here pretty regularly to check out potential downloads etc, so if you could just spare a poor soul like me five or ten mins just to sort out a few glitches I'm finding, then please, either drop me a message or reply to the thread - promise it won't take up much of your time.

Many Thanks
Rob

Thanks guys, and sorry for the CM/FM faux pas! For some reason, even though the games I've always bought have been Football Manager and not Championship Manager for years and years now, I still always refer to them as "Champ" when talking about them - mid-90's nostalgia I guess!

To be honest, it's more a case of "what am I not struggling with" at the minute - I'll drop you a message and hopefully you could give me a few pointers,

Cheers
Rob

The last CM i played was their best 1 04/05. After that CM went downhill.

To be honest since the split I've never played a CM game, it's just I started out with CM 94 and for a couple of years did little else apart from play that and CM Italia - happy days.

I'm still stuck with the problems I've been having if anyone can help it would be brilliant.

Cheers
Rob
