I'm about to start my second season with Wolves on 11.3. Last season I finished third and won the FA cup. This summer the board gave me 30m+ and set my expectations at continental qualification.

I'm really scared that I'll ****** the whole thing up like I did on an older save. So I'm appealing for tactical, transfer and development advice from good fm players (which I am not ^^)).

Here's my best team at present. The problem is that Wijnaldum has failed to live up to expectations, Fletcher is yet to score in the pre-season (worried he will flop) and the dreaded second season syndrome looks set to rear its ugly head.

Here are the signings I have made. As you can see I've driven the club into a lot of debt and will thus self impose a transfer embargo for at least 2 years now.

What usually happens for me at this stage is that Fletcher plays ****, the midfield become useless and my only goals come from set pieces.

So what can I do to buck the trend and make my team as good as it was in the first season???

change your tactics :)

sell off fringe players to generate some cash to help pay off debt and use for new players

change training schedules

change assitant manger

ask for more coaches and bring in newer/better coaches

be realistic, you are not going to win every game either, especially not in Europe :) play more defensively, change the Amc to a Dm!

1) the tactics are different (i played 442 last time)
2) my fringe players are only worth around 1m each, i need a bigger squad for europe too.
3) I am using one downloaded off this site, Dunc's i think
4) Terry Connor is 14's across the board, who would you recommend to be my wingman?
5) I have the max amount of coaches allowed.
6) A dm would make it 451, a formation which I despise.

what i really wanted advice on was... which tactics would people use to turn a mid table premier club into one which competes and dominates a game rather than chase it.

i was wolves and was second in the league by january. the main thing i used was counter attacking, with a formantion with two strikers, wingers, center mid and def mid. use the good players and dont give creative freedom to the **** ones. steven fletcher is a great comeplete forward, and milijas is a perfect advanced playmaker support. i wouls suggest getting a right winger and jarvis peforms consistently so you dont need a new one of those. the difference between us is that i started with no transfer budget. good luck
