help!!!
home grown players i buy are not listed as home grown
i bought rafael hes definitely home grown should be listed as trained in nation
now bought guiseppe rossi ...he was at manc utd for four years before 21 years of age ...checked on him otherwise too hes definitly home grown...
i am playing at arsenal into second season..game is updated to 11.1.1 but havent started a new game after updating...
what i want to know is whether i have to start a new game for this glitch to work out or has it simply not been worked out yet..
please reply...

I don't think there's a bug with hg-players. As I believe you're wrong about Giuseppe Rossi, he's only been 2 seasons with ManU and half a season with Newcastle before he went back to Parma and thus not completing the 3 years required for the hg-status.
My guess is you're missing something about Rafael as well.
About the starting a new game I doubt it'll make a difference either way.

On mine Rafael isn't HG but Fabio is.

Rossi isn't HG anyway so you failed when buying him. As for Rafael, my guess is he was loaned out abroad, as this happens a lot, which means he will not be HG as he isn't training in England. Simples.

Hi, I have a similar problem.

When registering players for domestic competition (English Premier League) I have all the players that are supposed to be home-grown marked and counted as such. But when I register players for CL, I only get the real players (in my case - Micah Richards and James Milner) marked as home-grown. My game has reached year 2019, I have a lot of "generated" players in my team. Even though I have signed them at age between 15 and 18, after turning 22 (and have to be registered) they are not counted as home-grown when registering for CL. Because of this, i have to leave 6-7 empty slots and enter the competition with 18-19 players.

How can I fix this?

I have this problem as well. I sign players at 18 (like yaya sanogo) and he doesn't even count as trained in nation, let alone at club. There is also a bug with registering in the CL, one of my regens who I bought at 16 and is now trained at club does not count in the CL registration, but he does still count as home grown for the nation which I find extremely strange.

Same problem here. I buy young talent, from all across the world. They become home-grown and it even says they are home-grown at the club. But when i need to pick them for ucl...

Maybe it's because I continued to play the saved game from demo with the actual game, maybe there's a bug in there somewhere?! I'd hate to start over as i've played 5 seasons and at this point have only 3 players that the game counts as home-grown at the club for ucl despite I actually have 11 of them.. Sucks.

I have the same bug problem too. I've been playing FM for over a decade, it IS a bug. Help!!!!!!!!!!!! Been playing for 5 seasons, got into the CL then this happens! All those years of developing kids into HG club players & now they're not even trained in the nation nevermind the club! I've had some since they were 16, not just 17. Can anyone help - Did the updates sort this out??? So shoddy, the games ruined like this...

For me this issue solved itself as far as i can tell. I installed an update, downloaded from the FM web page, maybe this did it.
