Well I had an idea of an English only squad and staff so I start my game sell most of the players and sack half the staff and bring in english players and english staff now this is my squad.
Now these are my current tactics:

And these are my recent results:

beat the U18's 3-0 abbey hey i murdered them but came portsmouth I struggled to get a draw and now with the EC match I came from 2-0 behind to score one and score a 90min pen now this isn't good
so any ideas? Also I use TT's training, also I cant do anymore transfers and Becks is my current playmaker.

as above and if u have not, team tactics. with Gabby/A Young etc maybe u want to counter and use good width?

the problem could be ur gk ;-)

could u post screenshots of ur transfers in/out....interested to see what u got/paid

Ok the roles are as follows:
Robert Green: Sweeper GK Support
Stephan Warnock: FB Support
Mathew Upson: CD Defend
Curtis Davis: CD Defend
Scott Parker: CM Defend
David Beckham: AP Support
Ashley Young: Winger Attacker
David Bently: Winger Attacker
Gabriel Agbonlahor: Poacher Attacker
Emile Heskey: DLF Support

and for my in's and outs I payed over the odds (in other words you guys are gonna freak when you see it) but I needed these players......

Also since my previous pic I changed fomration to a 4-1-5 and beat wolves 3-1 but they dominated me possession wise. and I also got David James.
@Smitvilla: Yeah I know what you mean with Green lol.

hmmm... for weaker teams

That tempo is pretty slow. Pretty good for starting out. probing and seeing how they're playing against you, but scouting reports for games should give you a good indication of this anyway. I'd look to up it so your players don't dwell on the ball so much, they look to pass as soon as they get it. This will also open up holes in their d-line considering the width you play. I'd have your fullbacks set to defend, to watch the counter. Get parker to come forward (centre mid support/attack), becks to deep-lying playmaker support/ defend. Blitz them with 6. Scrap the wingers, make them playmakers with support. A short passing game, with a quick tempo should get you a) shots and b) possession. Keep the d-line up so you don't leave space for their strikers/wingers to work. Close-down hard on those ******'s to get it back when you lose it.

You'll get hit on the counter from time to time, but this line-up can claw back.

Against stronger teams, play direct to heskey as a targetman and agbon as an advanced forward. Fullbacks to support. Wingers back to wingers. And close down less and play patiently. Watch and learn. See where they're giving up space.

Becks should support, but you'll want your d-line deeper. So parker has to stay back and defend.

Let us know if that helps.

P.S. Team talks baby.

Take Green off Sweeper-Keeper, use Scott Parker is a more dynamic role. Consider a tweaked box-to-box midfielder, or more likely Ball-Winning midfielder. You could also allow Young to cut inside. Heskey is a great Target Man, or possibly advanced forward, but doesn't have the technicals required for a DLF.

Try playing wide, fast, short passing on the counter attack. Move your defensive line settings up a few notches, set creative freedom to default and I'd also set marking to default. Uncheck time wasting completely, to be more effective using touchline shouts and quick strategies.

Well I accidently deleted the save so I'm gonna start again with the same transfers and ill try your tactics guys thanks.
