Afternoon peoples. This week I will be starting a net game with 3 of my friends. We're going to be in the Premier League and I've got Chelsea. To spice things up, everyone will have 100 million to spend (luxury buys at Chelsea really). You can help me spend mine :$

I've not managed Chelsea since they got Torres so any advice on how to match up Torres / Drogba would be helpfull :)

At the moment I have a few names in my head I would like to buy, starting with the defence. (Bold names are my 1st team choices + I'm not naming every player for the positions, just main ones)

I want to play with 2 Wing Backs and 3 Central Defenders.

Wing back left - Ash Cole / Zhirkov. Sorted really , no need to buy here.

Center defenders - John Terry / Alex / Luiz - I want to play with 3 in this position (Luiz in the middle as a ball playing DC) so I would like to buy Giorgio Chiellini. - Around 25 mil?

Wing back right - Boswinga / Ivanovic - Not sure if I need to strengthen here? If I did I'm thinking Darijo Srna 19 mil or Philipp Lahm ££??

I want Luiz to go forward more and play as a ball playing defender, and the two wing backs pushing forward into space. (Using a narrow midfield with Lampard / Essien etc in the middle of the pitch)

Any suggestions so far from you guys?





 
Jean-Armel Kana-Biyik DC- young, strong, quick, reasonably cheap buy.
Sime Vrsaljko RWB- Also young, develops into one of the best right back in the game.

Good way to play Drogba as target man and play torres as either complete forward- attack or advanced forward- attack.

Hint: Milan Badelj is a fantastic player to replace Frank Lampard- also cheap ;)

Thanks for the suggestions mate. Thing is, my friends are going to be making some big name signings, I need to keep up :P Got 100 mil to spend so I'm looking at big rep players.

Was thinking that a Terry - Chiellini partnership would dominate and having Luiz there getting forward would be good.
 
Try playing Torres as Advanced Fwd and Drogba as Complete Fwd with support role. It should work in my opinion. The solution for right back area is Sime Vrsaljko, if you'll be able to get work permit. Chiellini is way too expensive, try with Ryan Shawcross or Mamadou Diarra. They're doing well in my Chelsea save.

Just had a thought about Mexes, can get him for 7 - 8 mil. How good is he this year?
 
In that case then go for Javier Pastore, literally the best player in the game in my Burnley save in 2014. Cant go wrong with Chiellini at the back, best DC in the game.
I stand by Vrsaljko for RWB hes quality.
Also i know you have money but please buy Vaclav Kadlec, he only costs like half a million but develops into a great poacher, currently on 28 goals in 22 apps for Burnely in 2014 :)
 
If you can get Cheillini for that price that would be a good buy! Barca just bought him in my save (third season in) for 58million

He is probably more, I just remember on an old patch I could get him for around that. Love him as a DC.

Kadlec I might buy as back up.

Pastore I LOVE but I'm thinking the other lads will be after him too!

So possibly Ganso, Hazard, Hamsik or Pastore I'm thinking about!
 
You can also go for Aguero as a long term replacement for Drogba and can also cover in the amc position
 
Ganso is a beast....I would go with Srna he has great all round ability.....only downside....He is dirty...Cheillieni is quality but expensive 40 million plus......For me I would sign someone like Kjear/Subatic/Hummels or Thiago Silva they would be around the 20million mark........Goodluck mate

Thanks Potta. I did think about Thiago Silva if I couldnt get Chiellini. He was absolute class when I manages Milan on the last patch :)

Torres HAS to be poacher. He is absolute ace as one, he can use his flair and pace to get past defenders, plus his finishing is pretty good so he should get some goals :D

Thanks for the tip :) I'll put him as poacher then.

Drogba next to him as a target man? Advanced forward? What would you suggest?
 
I've always found Torres used best as an advanced forward, 28 in 25 :)

Ivanovic looks good though.

Srna or Renan for right back?

Thinking 4-3-3 through the middle now!
 
Srna......he will slot stright into the team.....I would still have a punt at T.Silva or Neven Subotic for centre half still......and maybe think about a young attacking mid for Lamps.......maybe Ganso, Lucas, Badeji etc....
 
Srna is brilliant mate, Renan is good but not World Class in 1st season ;)
