Hey

I've recently been promoted to the prem in the year 2016 with Southport. Just before the end of the previous season the board anouced a take over, thus a transfer embargo was placed. The talks of a take over keep collapsing and then resuming over and over again. It's now nearing the start of the season, and with no options to strengthen my squad, I will be a extreamly strong candidate for the drop.

I wondered if anyone had any way to speed up or something a board take over.

Its happened to me for liverpool. I sold arbeloa for 12 million because i thought ill probably get a better right back and a younger one for cheaper than that but when he went they placed a transfer embargo haha.

Take-over hasn't happened to me before, btw CONGRATS with Southport! Great work getting them to the prem!

Thanks, im having to work the free transfers at the moment, some hope though, just battered Burton 7-0 in the cup!

Wow, they really do fail, removed the embargo one day before the end of the window period...things are looking very bleak for me so far...best result so far would probably a 3-2 defeat against chelsea. Bring on the January window!

Haha if you keep them up mate, you are god.

Lol, well not looking to good at the moment, its December and im sitting at the bottom with 7 points :P

Its happened to me with Liverpool since the middle of January and now the pre-season window is about to close lol. Needed a few players as well.

Congrats on getting southport to the prem!

Are you allowed loans?

thats a bit of *******

well done with southport tho, if you do go down, you can always get them back up and strengthen?

btw, what tactics have you been using?

i took accrington stanley to league 1, consolodated my position, and the club were making money hand over fist, but i was getting less and less for transfers each season so i got sick and left.

had a pretty good stint at sheff wed, then took over a relegated west ham, got them promoted and im battling for prem survival atm.

i obviously dont have the patience to stay at a small club haha

I've been using a simple attack mentality 4-4-2. Worked very well prior to the prem, not so sure now though. We make alot of chances, most of the time, we actually look like winning most the games, but we just lack that killer touch in the final third.

And Yes, I am allowed loans, brought in a number of players but only as part of the shadow squad.
