Help! Never going to move on...

I am manager of Newport Co. Started as a Sunday league exp manager with them at the beginning of FM14. I'm now 9 years in, been promoted to Championship and survived. Now in 10th year I would consider moving on however... I've never been mentioned as a potential contender for another job in my whole 9years at Newport. I've been on a 1 year contract every year so I could move on cheaply and in theory easily. I have a reputation now of national and still not being linked to other jobs. Have tried this past season to apply for jobs in the championship at higher teams (promotable to EPL) and get laughed off. WTF?

Is is this an issue anyone else has seen and is there a solution.

Any help would be appreciated.

You could try to apply for jobs?
I've had success with Crewe, taking them to the top and winning the premier league a few times, and the champions league with some other trophies on the way. I didn't get any job offers and I'm in the year 2033.
However, on another save where I'm in the progress of travelling to different countries/continents collecting trophies, I get job offers often from a variety of clubs. (I never see that i'm linked with that club, I only get an offer out of the blue).

My theory is that other clubs might see that you started at that club, and haven't moved in 10 years, so they don't offer you a job with the belief it would be a waste of time as you probably wouldn't want to move. If you start changing clubs, you might get more offers, as in my second save compared to my first.

Thank you. I have spent the last season applying for jobs with no joy but will see what happens when I leave the club and go from there.

I tottaly agree with you ! In my save with A.C. Milan up to the year 2027 when I started playing the team was **** and from year to year managed to make this huge club reborn ! In the first 3 years had job offers but as I did not accept them I stoped receiving any .
