Help on Defense

Hello there. I would like to have your opinion on this: The problem is during matches, my assistant manager allways tells me that "our tackling needs to improove". What can I do? He tells me that our tackling is disapointing and that we are struglling to hold possession. What is the best way in your opinion to improove interceptions and not have as many bad tackles? I tried reducing mentality, changing philosophy from fluid to balanced or even rigid, ant told players to stick to positions. The coach allways tells me that our tacckling is disapointing in every game even when we are winning.
Lastly i have been having some troubles scoring goals. The assistant tells me we have to improove finish. How to deal with that during the match?
