Was just wondering, I started to negotiate with a youngster, and in the contract negotiation, I remembered there is a padlock icon to the right of each bonus and clause, anyone know what it actually does?

Yeah, if you click the padlock it means he (or his agent) can't negotiate that aspect. If you put it too low, he might just walk away, though.
