I'm playing at Truro, second year after being promoted into the BS Premier. Unfortunately my board decided to make the team go pro. I was happy at first, and made the grave error of saving the game. Now I see that I can't afford any of my players... All the players I was paying $500 - $600 for part time contracts are now demanding $2000 - $2500. But the board won't let me pay more then $900 for a key player... So I can't sign anyone on my team to full time contracts... Is is possible to convince the board to revert back? Or am I going to have to start from scratch with a brand new team at the end of the season...? Its will be really demoralizing if I have to lose all the players I've been developing over the last 4 years :(

To add injury to insult, I can't even get a team to buy the players off me :( I really wish I hadn't saved after that moron of a team president decided to go pro...

I have a 20K budget for salaries. I could afford my core players, but the board won't let me offer anyone more than $900... Its kind of dumb for the board to go Pro and not raise the player maximum salaries to accommodate Pro salaries :@ Any way to get the board to raise the maximum allowable salary for players?

From your posts I gather that essentially you are looking for a way to increase your maximum salary that you can offer your players. I have absolutely no idea how to do this and am also looking into how to do so. I've played a majority of my seasons as PTFC and as a MLS team, the only way I ever got an increase was due to MLS salary cap increases per year due to revenue sharing. This is unique to MLS, and it never was a substantial increase. Being able to change 3 contracts to DP status (which allow for nearly unlimited max wages) and this increase does not apply to the Czech league (and essentially all other leagues) which I am playing in now as Sparta, and the max I can pay per week at Key Player wages is about 9k/wk. Most Czech national team members make around 30k/wk at the least. How the **** can I raise the max salary I can offer to players? Wage raise % per year and loyalty bonuses just can't make up for everything.
