Help with adding additional (sub captains), extra freekick takers and such

I currently need some help adding additional captains, freekick and penalty takers for my team. Before in Fm11, I could just drag a player into the selected categories but in fm12 no matter how much I try, it's not doing anything. Does anyone know how to do it?
