Help with install

HEY,

I HAVE JUST BOUGHT MYSELF A NEW MINI NOTEBOOK, RUNNING WINDOWS XP, 1GB RAM, 1.60 GHz, RUNNING SERVICE PACK 3.

MY FOOTBALL MANAGER ALL INSTALLED AND ACTIVATED CORRECTLY, BUT WHENEVER I CLICK TO OPEN THE GAME, NOTHING HAPPENS, WHEN I CLICK AGAIN TO OPEN IT I GET THE MESSAGE "FOOTBALL MANAGER 2009 IS ALREADY RUNNING".

HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THE SAME PROBLEMS, OR DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN SORT THIS OUT??

never had this problem,but,have you waited enough?cause if it says it is running it probably is running.
if you have,try running it as administrator(right click on the icon and select it.)
if not,go to the fm2009 folder in your computer(C-program files-football manager 2009) and double click on the icon there.
if not,i can't think of anything else:P
 
Yeah mate ive tried waiting for ages, tried running as administrator and i have tried going onto the sports interactive folder and using the icon there. After getting the message sayin "football manager 2009 is already running", i have tried using ctrl+alt+del to start up the task manager, and it doesnt say that football manager is running there. Its a wierd one but it doin my head in!!!!!

You got any idea how i find out what mb my video card is? May have something to do with that!

What i did was i bought the download from the game website for £14.99. All the download was is one single .exe file so it says nothing about steam?
 
Try cancelling it from the task manager and loading it up again, or just restart your laptop.. I used to get this is on low RAM/ processor laptops all the time.. Just be patient, it will load in it's own time lol
 
Not encountered this problem, try a fresh install.

or...Get money back and wait for FM10.

and please don't post in full capital letters. It won't make us pay any more attention.
 
Will try a fresh install. And I werent tryin to make ne1 pay more attention I just had CAPLOCK on.
