Help With Southampton In Prem

I'm in my 4th season, just got promotion to Premiership after steady progression with a good young team, but just need some help on tactics now so I can start getting consistent results in a much harder division. My squad is:

GK: Al Habsi, Biakowski
RB: Bryssink, G. Hoyte
LB: J. Mills, D. Fox
CB: M. Beevers, G.Antwi, J. Rodwell, O. Lancashire
RM: J. Thompson, S. Scannell
LM: A. Surman, L. Holmes
CM: F. Coquelin, J. Ledley, J. Dunne, M. Davies
ST: S. Ebanks-Blake, C. Folan, B. Kostadinov, M. Paterson

What happened to Morgan Schneiderlin?! He's a quality player for Southampton. Would've been hard to keep him in the Championship for four sesaons though.

Right well, to be totally honest, your team is fairly weak. I don't know how good some of those players are in the fourth season but I can't imagine you staying up with that side.

screenshot us some of the players were unlikely to no, im assuming a few are regens ? so we may have no idea what the standard of your team is

Schneiderlin had a great first season, then wanted to go and I had to sell. My team is full of good young players, who have progressed a lot. Beevers is a quality CB, Mills is a very good full back, Bryssink is a solid performer, Thompson is a good winger and Ebanks-Blake scored goals for fun in the Championship.

Here's a few of my key players if you will...

Marshy, thanks that tactic so far has looked very good, got me some great results.

Jack Thompson and Surman look like your weaker links to me, you could sell surman for 6 million with a bit of luck, then look for a midfield with 15 for most stats he needs to be good at.
In the prem I like my midfielders to have 15 or better for Passing, Dribbling, Technique and Creativity
try a search with those attributes, making sure you select your assistant to filter out un realistic targets, then look at the cheapest players on that list

TheHig... I look for the same, and I am going to sell Surman at the end of the season. Beevers has turned into a real quality CB though, which I am pleased about. Any tips of what LM I should get at the end of the season?
