Help with Stoke 11.3 LFCv6

Just started a new save with Stoke, from innital scouting the squad IMO i think the squad is lacking in the full back possitions and possibly in the centre of midfield. But with only a transfer budget of around £8 mil (even tho Stoke bid a reported £17 mil combined bid for Spurs duo) i think ill be pushing it to fill all positions needed.

I have been pondering playing 3CBs or 3CBs with Woodgate as a SW
Also ? against Owen Hargreaves, free but asking for £45,000 p/w.

Do i play 5 in midfield n Jones up on his own?

mate sell shawcross for 20M € and buy kadlec and play him as a poacher with Jones playing as a targetman supporting and play woodgate and Huth with Woodgate covering and get hargreaves and put him as a ball winning midfielder support and high pressing
