You could try a tactic thats narrow since most sides at your level won't have good wingers and won't be able to exploit the narrowness... Also Phillip Evans a south african player is a great full back/ CB for lower league sides, did wonders for my san marino side for quite a few years.

Thats a tactic that I made and I didnt lose a game for my first season in charge of san marino with it- its ultra defensive which might put you off a bit if your looking to win by a lot of goals, but it gets the job done and is good for lower leauges, but dreadful for the top leauges.
