I have quit Peterbrough for Pompey in the second season its July 2012 now and my finances are poor and my wage limit is only 3,000 a week for a key player. I ask the board (who have just took over the club) to give me higher wage bill but they say no.

Any threads on here about how to manage bad finances?

Or can some one give me tips?

Help would be appreciated!

Tom.

Oh dear, you're in quite a tricky situation there. I know there is a few ways around this but the more experienced members would have to tell you!

Have you tried just going for loan players from Premier Division sides? Some of the young players are decent and I believe you can get them on a season-long loan paying 0% wages and costing £0 for the initial loan if you're a lower-league club.

Basically you just need to rework the whole team, sell any high contract players, even if they are great unless you can secure instant promotion but even then you dont want penalties. Best bet is just to gather finance as best you can, when you get to off season arrange friendly leagues with prem clubs and go away to distant clubs , you can rack in 100k + per match from fees. Loans will be your best friend, use both long term and short term, how much is the club in debt?

Look at foreign loans also, i dont believe there is a cap in lower (not PRM league) leagues on how many loans you can have
