Why is Aston Villa even there in Birmingham anyway? I don't get it

Since there's a part of Birmingham called Aston. It's like asking why Tottenham, Chelsea, Arsenal and so on aren't called London FC.

Yeah, really. No matter what Joss links to, the reptilian Morgan attends the Emirates to watch his beloved Gunners play.

And meh, take that up with the City lot. Seriously though, we've both been around for hundreds of years and these things just happen accidentally. Birmingham were originally called Small Heath Alliance (which we take some satisfaction in still calling them) and then morphed into Birmingham City FC. It's pretty convoluted.
