How can SI claim that this game works?

I enjoy this game a lot, but every once and a while this kind of thing happens. Particularly, look at the second goal, where Hugo Lloris, you know, the FRENCH NATIONAL GOALIE, goes in the exact opposite direction as the ball. ARGH.
