How do i create chances Barca style?

Im currently playing as Birmingham in my second season and ive got the right players for the job but not the right tactic.

This is my team

The quality is there with a nice attacking and defensive balance. I want advice on how to create a beautiful yet effective tactic that will create loads of chance and that will be always knocking on the oppositions door. With a lot of chances from open play and quite a few clear cut chances.

Hope some on can help :P
 
play a short-passing game, slow-tempo, attack through the middle and work ball into box. there are variations of the barca 4-3-3 tactic here on the site that you can download & possibly edit to suit your players.
 
Thanks mate but ive got wingers so playing though the middle wouldnt be the best option and ill look around for some decent Barca tactics

you could try my Barca tactic if you like? However i think you'll need to change the tempo to slow instead of fast.
 
Well, Barca played a 4-5-1 formation against Arsenal. I figured. With the wingers likely to be inside forward as I seen in other games. A playmaker in midfield. I may get it to you tonight. And see how it goes
 
Cheers guys. Ive kinda made my tactic from looking at other people and my own knowledge and im trying it out now but im still open to suggestions :)
 
Tactic's coming along well the possession and chances are good. Just have to sort it out defensively a bit.

yeah, i can, however i don't think this tactic is the exact same but you can try it. Bear in mind i didn't really test this tactic much.
 
I personally think that it is impossible to fully create the Barca tactic on FM. Tried it many times, too much posession and too little chances. Need a certain bit of directness to succeed in this game in my opinion, although at times keeping posession is great when trying to see out a game.

Try my tactic, keeps posession really well on a narrow pitch. And it often takes a form of a 4-1-2-1-2 diamond and a 4-3-3. Not quite Tika Taka Barcelona style but it has some really nice passing play just make sure you put players in the right roles.

Just like Barca IRL your wingers should be set to inside forwards so that they cut in onto their strongest foot (not hug the touchline). So it is possible to play through the middle without sacrificing your wingers. Hope it helps.

I've got a strong team in my league, but i was always finding it hard to dominate.
Hopefully it doesn't stop working after 10/15 games or so.

my line is the same as coach carter, but if you really wanna try:

4-3-3
gk:
Left full back: wing back/support
right back wing back attack:
DC ball playing defenders
defensive mid defend
left mc adv playmaker attack
right mc deep lying playmaker support
aml inside forward support
amr inside forward attack
fc complete forward support

fluid short passing more freedon more pressing more roaming
use the play wider and pass to feet shouts
