How do you beat the big clubs?

Im spurs and i can never beat the top four? And i always struggle against teams the same as me like villa and everton. I change strategy to counter, even defensive and contain sometimes, but i always seem to either get beaten or draw. I rarely go ahead so its not like i can defend a lead either. Any sugggestions?

Try Kris' ancellotti tactics theyre great for beating higher level teams, what i did to his tactic was make the rcm and lcm lm and rm, worked a treat so far. And if you got palacios and a good defence this 41212 will work great for you

Personally I always listen to backroom advice against the team I'm about to play and set instructions to retain possession.
